Well, I most certainly got your attention!
But it's true, Black in Fashion is the defining color of sophistication, {uh, little black dress, hello!} It makes everything look polished and scaled down. You can spill your morning coffee on it and still wear it out for cocktails later. {Who cares if you smell like Starbucks Dark Roast, people love that!}
I wear black almost every day. My former life as a New Yorker made me love it. I didn't have a lot of clothes, so black helped me pretend to have a massive wardrobe. I used bold, colorful accessories and jewelry to really dress things up!
Some of the most famous people through the history of greatness loved black; iconic fashion maven, Ann Demeulemeester said "Black is poetic." {see full quote below!}
"Black is not sad. Bright colours are what depress me. They're so... empty. Black is poetic. How do you imagine a poet? In a bright yellow jacket? Probably not." — Ann Demeulemeester
