When I was younger, I wanted to twirl a baton, so my Mom bought me one. She was a former majorette & she taught me to twirl & I practiced everyday.
While learning, I broke a lamp in the living room, put several dents in the ceiling, hit myself in the face more than one hundred times, knocked over glasses on tables & for a short period, had the baton removed from my hands & put in the closet due to overuse.
The point is, I can still twirl. So through perseverance, I learned something new!
What ever you are passionate about, stick with it, you never know when & where it may come in handy. No, twirling did not bring me monetary riches, but I did end up twirling in one of the Macy's Day Thanksgiving Parades!
Great experiences & happiness are way more valuable than money.
Learning new things are priceless & it worked out perfectly!
