We are at the cornerstone of a beauty evolution!

I had the opportunity to cover the Face and Body Expo in Atlanta last month, and it was a BIG eye opener! Skin Inc. Magazine and Face and Body Expo's collaboration brought in the best of the best of professional beauty, spa and skincare experts to Southeast!

With advancing technology, global connections and a million makeup tutorials constantly feeding on our favorite social sites like Youtube, Instagram, Snapchat and Pinterest, it's a great time to be alive and lovely!

As a beauty and skincare advocate, I have spent years working in the industry at different capacities & for different brands, and though I have a mad penchant for skincare products, I also love lipstick and lip gloss, and have probably breached, well, at least last time I counted, around 120 in various brands and shades! I just love makeup, and own several different brands with a few tried and true favorites. I also love fragrances and body products, and live most of my days in spa mode.

However, skincare is my baby, and I have the clear skin to prove it! Wink, wink, brag, brag! It is a true labor of love and there are days when I can not wait, at the end of the day, to cleanse my face and layer on the goodness! Serums, creams, elixirs, I love them all!

Genes can play a huge part, however, as the daughter of a former beauty maven and majorette, proper skincare was taught early on. My Mother, a true stickler for skincare products, spent a solid Saturday morning each week with my sisters and I in some sort of beauty routine. Bathrobes, nails painted, a plain yogurt mask on the face, cucumber slices over our eyes, we were set. Yes, it was old school beauty, but it worked! You see, routines are a learned behavior, and as I grew up and fell in love with makeup, I knew from learning proper skincare, that it had to come off. No matter how tired or how late, through my teens and in college, the makeup came off at the end of the day. No exceptions!

So why am I telling you all of this?

Because if you love everything beauty like I do, you will be very happy with the results, and rewards that you will reap from your glowing skin to a more confident you!
